When you consider a Tankless Water Heater for your home, you may want to consider these important notes.

Tankless Water Heaters provide instantaneous and endless hot water. High-powered burners heat the water the moment you turn your faucet and as long as you have your gas on, you’ll have hot water for as long as you like.

While Tankless Water Heaters are a smart and popular choice and many companies advertise the benefits of these heaters, you should note that Tankless Water Heaters won’t necessarily cut your gas bill in half as is so often advertised and may not provide consistent hot water when an extra tap is opened. When this happens, you may experience a “sandwich” of cold water.

Bare in mind that it will take at least 7-10 years to recoup your investment, as a typical Tankless Water Heater installation (including WH) costs up to $3000-$3,500. Your water heater requires a maintenance flushing with vinegar once a year and in homes with a water supply on its own well, a water softener and whole house filter is required.
